Protect Your Home Before an Earthquake Strikes
The Pacific Northwest is prime territory for major seismic events. The best way to prevent crises and reduce damage is to prepare ahead of time.

Important Reasons to Retrofit Your Home
Homes constructed before 1990 are at risk for major damage resulting from seismic events. Regular home insurance does not cover earthquake damage. Specialty earthquake insurance can only be purchased for homes that have been upgraded to safely absorb seismic energy. Luckily, many of these upgrades can be tackled by a moderately experienced DIY-er.

In this free workshop, Steve Gemmell, of Earthquake Tech, will go over the basics of seismic safety retrofitting, demonstrating these techniques:

• bolting your house to the foundation
• securing your water heater to the wall
• installing a safety valve on your gas line

Space is limited to 15 people, so please reserve a space in the workshop today. We look forward to seeing you there and learning about seismic safety retrofitting together.
